Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026 • Canonical Domain: https://pixena.site
Our Fundamental Privacy Promise
Pixena is engineered to protect user privacy. We strictly separate Image Processing (which operates locally in your browser or in transient server RAM) from Website Analytics (which measures anonymous, aggregate page visits). Your photos, graphics, filenames, and EXIF metadata are never shared with or accessible to third parties, including Google Analytics.
1. Image Processing & File Privacy
Pixena operates 76 image tools classified across three clear privacy models:
- Client-Only (16 Tools): Color pickers, EXIF inspectors, dimension checkers, Base64 converters, and favicon generators execute 100% inside your web browser using HTML5 Canvas and JavaScript. No bytes ever leave your device.
- Browser-First with Server Fallback (59 Tools): Format converters, resizers, croppers, and compressors process images in your browser by default. A secure transient server fallback is available only when an image exceeds browser memory limits or uses unsupported codecs.
- Server-Processed (1 Tool - TIFF to JPG): Multi-page and uncompressed TIFF images are converted in volatile server memory using libvips.
Zero Disk Persistence:When server fallback is used, images are processed as temporary memory streams. We do not write your files to server disks, do not retain copies, do not log filenames, and do not extract personal data. Memory buffers are immediately reclaimed upon response delivery.
2. Website Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
To understand how Pixena is used, detect platform errors, and prioritize new tool development, we use Google Analytics 4 (Measurement ID: G-KDZPKSFBJ2).
We implement strict Data Minimization. Google Analytics receives only anonymous usage events such as:
- Page URLs (e.g.
/jpg-to-png) - Tool category and tool slug
- Target output format (e.g.
png) - Processing engine type (Canvas vs Sharp)
- Anonymized IP address
- No image binary data, pixels, or thumbnails
- No original filenames or file paths
- No EXIF metadata, camera tags, or GPS coords
- No Base64 strings or Data URIs
- No user-typed text overlays or watermarks
3. Cookies & Analytics Opt-Out
Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to distinguish unique sessions across visits. These cookies do not contain personal identifiers or file information.
Non-Fatal Operation: Pixena is built so that image processing is completely decoupled from analytics. If you use an ad-blocker (such as uBlock Origin or Brave Shields), disable cookies, or install the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, all 76 Pixena tools continue to work at 100% full functionality.
4. Contact & Inquiries
